Campaign Process

Abilene Regional Council Alcohol and Drug Abuse (ARCADA) and The Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT), came to HSU because they are concerned with students safety over Spring Break. A campaign has never been done like this before from HSU. A group of HSU’s own student body have worked tirelessly on this campaign from the COMM department at HSU. A big thanks for Dr. Tim Chandler for spearheading participation.

Students have done all of the design and artwork for this campaign, as well as created the logo and name. Students also have done the ground work to spread the message on campus for the past four weeks.

During chapel time on Thursday February 27, 2014 in Behrens Auditorium, will be the campaigns “reveal”.  After the ceremony, students will be asked to make a pledge to not drink and drive.

Reminders will go out in the weeks following the reveal, leading up to Spring Break and throughout the duration of Spring Break.
